About the Opportunity:
Allied Staff Augmentation Partners (ASAP) is hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced Operations Support Specialist to support a major organization in the high-tech/semiconductor industry in Chandler, Arizona.
This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in construction project administration, SAP, purchase order processing, change order management, and financial reporting.
The Operations Support Specialist will work closely with project controls, project management, finance, and operations teams to support purchasing activities, track project costs, maintain accurate records, and ensure efficient coordination across multiple projects.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering the potential for long-term career growth within the high-tech construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase orders (POs) and change requests in SAP in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain change order logs, track approval status, and prepare reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Coordinate with project controls, finance, operations, and project management teams to monitor purchasing and change order activities.
- Assist with reviewing project invoices, change orders, and contractor closeout documentation.
- Prepare cost reconciliations, compare estimates, and identify cost variances.
- Maintain accurate project records, financial documentation, and reporting.
- Coordinate financial meetings and communicate project status updates.
- Serve as a liaison between project teams, clients, and trade contractors.
- Manage multiple priorities and project data updates while meeting strict deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Associate's degree or completed college coursework with 5 years of relevant experience will also be considered.
- Experience supporting construction projects, project controls, procurement, or operations administration.
- Experience with SAP, particularly purchase orders and change order processing.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting, data tracking, and analysis.
- Familiarity with invoice review, cost reconciliation, and financial documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Windows, and Adobe applications.
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
