Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in manufacturing precision parts. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with various materials and machinery.
Duties
- Set up and operate Tool Room equipment including manual mills and lathes.
- Manufacture assemblies utilizing components like rosan inserts, helicoils, lee plugs, epoxy, etc.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy.
- Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Maintain job routing information and complete sign-offs.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow safety procedures.
Skills
- ITAR - U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED/technical school preferred
- 2-5 years related work experience preferred
- Working knowledge of measuring equipment (mics, calipers, gauges), surface grinders, lathes, mills, and drill presses
- Proficient in using micrometers and other precision measuring instruments.
- Experience working independently from written or verbal instructions
- Knowledge of mechanical drawings, tooling, and blueprints
