GENERAL SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Administrator of Allied Services Skilled Nursing, the Recruitment and Retention Specialist is responsible for recruiting and placing all clinical, professional and all non-exempt personnel for Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center. The Recruitment and Retention Specialist is also responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the effectiveness of retention programs.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or another related field preferred.
High School diploma required.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in employment at a professional level, including interviewing, selection and placement, checking references, employment advertising, etc., required.
Previous experience in a Human Resources Office and experience in a health care setting preferred.
Posts job openings on various platforms and coordinates advertising efforts. Recruits, interviews, checks references of, recommend selection and placement of applicants and make job offers to all clinical, professional and non-exempt personnel. Responsible for managing the logistics of recruitment, which includes developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies to attract the right talent, conducting interviews, and analyzing data to improve employee recruitment rate. Manage the logistics of the applicant experience from sourcing to orientation.
Collaborate with HR and leadership to enhance workplace culture. Help identify specific divisional trends and areas for improvement within our recruitment and retention processes. Analyze employee retention data, including new hire check-ins and exit interviews. Works closely with the Vice President of Human Resources and Employee Culture to develop and implement retention programs. Conducts employee and supervisory in-services, training and assists in onsite retention events to build on and support overall employee morale.
Suggest improvements for better employee retention based on feedback from employees. Identify barriers of employee job performance and availability and provide resources to support their well-being and continued employment.
Establishes, develops, and utilizes networks of recruitment sources in colleges, universities, vocational technical schools, high schools, community agencies, and professional associations, in addition to welfare and unemployment offices to provide an ongoing supply of applicants in the short, intermediate, and long term. Organizes recruitment events such as open houses and receptions. Travels to and attends employment fairs, college job fairs, and represents Allied Services as various community events.
Works closely with department heads to identify recruitment needs and develop creative strategies for meeting them, such as literature, fliers, brochures, mailings, and other similar materials. Writes and places recruitment advertisement
Completes special projects as assigned; develops and prepares periodic statistical reports and analyses.
