Brief Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Clinical Therapy/Nursing Supervisor, or designee, and in accordance with agency policy, the Occupational Therapist provides medically prescribed occupational therapy to patients in their place of residence.
The Occupational Therapist must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served by his/her department – pediatric through geriatric. The Occupational Therapist must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span; possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status; interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs; and to provide the care needed as described in the Home Health Division’s policies and procedures.

EDUCATION:
Minimum of Bachelor's of Science degree in Occupational Therapy required from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
One (1) Year Occupational Therapy Experience Preferred.
SPECIAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Current licensure as a registered OT by the PA State Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs required.
Must be cleared by PA State Police criminal history check.
Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills required for effective interaction with staff, patients, and families.
Valid PA driver’s license and available transportation during all working hours required.
Must exhibit flexibility in managing multifaceted requirements of position and ability to function independently in home setting.
