What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Coordinator position at Allied Resources Technical Consultants?
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Coordinator to oversee contractor activities across multiple projects and facilities. This role ensures work is performed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with contract, quality, and company standards.
Responsibilities:
- Observe and monitor contractor construction activities
- Enforce safety standards and industry best practices
- Identify performance, quality, and safety issues and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, schedules, and specifications
- Coordinate work between contractors, operations, engineering, and management
- Review and comment on design and construction documents as needed
- Document daily construction activities with written reports and photos
- Coordinate compliance with company policies (LOTO, hot work, confined space, etc.)
- Build and maintain positive relationships with contractors and internal stakeholders
Qualifications:
- 10 years of construction, supervisory, or project experience preferred
- Background in civil, mechanical, operations, QA/QC, CWI, or welding strongly desired
- Project management certification or advanced construction training preferred
- Advanced knowledge of OSHA and site safety requirements
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and enterprise systems
