BIM Specialist | Allied Resources Technical Consultants (ARTC)
About the Position:
Allied Resources Technical Consultants (ARTC) is seeking a BIM Specialist to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex commercial construction projects. This role focuses on developing and managing Building Information Models throughout design and construction, working closely with internal project teams, design professionals, and construction partners.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical BIM expertise, a collaborative mindset, and experience coordinating multidisciplinary models within commercial or large-scale facilities. Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and maintain BIM models across all phases of design and construction.
- Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, and specialty trade models to support project execution.
- Perform clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks and other BIM coordination tools.
- Create and maintain BIM execution plans (BEPs), modeling standards, and workflows.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment with design intent and project requirements.
- Support construction documentation efforts, shop drawing reviews, and as-built model updates.
- Participate in coordination meetings and clearly communicate BIM-related issues and resolutions.
- Maintain model accuracy, data integrity, and version control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist project managers and field teams with digital coordination, sequencing visualization, and constructability reviews.
- Ensure compliance with ARTC BIM standards and project-specific requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to BIM tools, technologies, and processes.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of BIM or VDC experience within commercial construction or architectural/engineering environments.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of architectural, structural, and MEP systems coordination.
- Experience with clash detection and multidisciplinary model coordination.
- Solid knowledge of construction documentation and design workflows.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting commercial facilities such as recreation, hospitality, wellness, or mixed-use projects.
- Familiarity with BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Experience with point cloud data and laser scanning integration.
- Exposure to Dynamo, Rhino, or other computational design tools.
- Understanding of construction sequencing (4D) and quantity takeoff (5D) workflows.
- BIM certification or Autodesk Certified Professional credentials.
