Allied Resources is hiring a Structural Engineer to guide civil and structural designs from concept through execution, with an emphasis on constructability, safety, and long-term reliability. This is a direct-hire role onsite position located in Merrillville, IN. The role offers a base salary of up to $120,000 along with a comprehensive benefits package.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform and review complex engineering calculations, ensuring compliance with ASCE 7, IBC, and applicable industry standards.
- Develop, review, and approve civil/structural drawings, technical specifications, and construction scope of work documents.
- Manage project deliverables for quality, accuracy, schedule, and cost control across multiple projects.
- Interface with internal stakeholders such as operations, reliability, maintenance, and environmental teams to ensure designs meet operational and safety requirements.
- Conduct site walkdowns and field surveys, and constructability reviews to validate design assumptions and identify risks early.
- Support project development during Front End Loading (FEL) and provide engineering input for project proposals and work-hour estimates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- 5 years of civil/structural engineering experience required (refinery, petrochemical, or heavy industrial experience).
- Demonstrated expertise in steel and concrete design, with working knowledge of RISA-3D, STAAD, or equivalent structural software a plus.
