The Digital Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Canon, Zeikon, and Komori digital presses to produce vibrant, high-quality printed materials that meet exacting customer specifications. This role requires technical precision, color accuracy, and a passion for digital print innovation. The operator monitors print quality, registration, and consistency throughout each job, making adjustments to achieve flawless results. What You’ll Do:
- Operate high-quality digital printing presses to meet customer specifications
- Monitor print runs to ensure consistent color, registration, and image quality
- Interpret layouts, check paper stock, and assist in overall press setup (sheet size, coating, blankets, etc.)
- Refill and adjust paper trays to maintain efficient production flow
- Load substrates onto the press and accurately record production data
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and cleaning on press equipment
- Troubleshoot and adjust as needed to ensure top-quality output
- Conduct quality checks throughout each run and present finished samples for approval
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of press operation
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Good knowledge of color and excellent visual acuity
- Basic computer and math skills
- Ability to multitask, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Team-player attitude and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1–4 months of experience operating digital press machines
