JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing or arranging for the repair of all building operating systems on the site.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations with proper supervision.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- 3 - 5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience
- Minimum 2 years Electrical experience
- Experience using power, and hand tools
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, e.g., evaluating symptoms, determining root causes
- Must be capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously
Preferred:
- Forklift Operation
EDUCATION:
Required:
- HS diploma or GED
Preferred:
- 2-year college or technical trade school in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the role.
- Must be able to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time or until the end of the assigned shift.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. safely and properly, as needed throughout the assigned shift with or without assistance.
- Must be able to bend/stoop, squat, reach above shoulder height, crouch, balance, and push/pull.
