Position Details
- Location: Walterboro, SC Area
- Position: Special Education Teacher
- Student Population: Elementary
- Duration: ASAP through the end of the school year
- Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
- Daily Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Compensation: $48-$52 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with student IEP goals.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success.
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Foster a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.
Qualifications
- Valid South Carolina Multi-Categorical Special Education Certification required.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and IEP processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred.
