About The Role
Allied OMS is seeking an AP Specialist to join our high-growth company, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to our finance and accounting team. This role is an essential resource for the organization and provides daily accounting oversight to ensure that the accounting records are complete, accurate, and comply with generally accepted accounting principles, policies, and regulations to facilitate solid decision support. In addition, this person will build relationships with all departments by resolving questions, researching transactions and budget/trend variances, and communicating regularly and on time. The AP Specialist joins a legacy Finance & Accounting team that requires frequent collaboration with all Finance & Accounting team members on projects and other deliverables. The position will be hybrid, requiring the individual to work from the Southlake office three days per week.

Key Responsibilities
- Process all refunds for dental practices
- Manually add all refunds and bills to Bill.com
- Responsible for reporting on accurate cash flow to the accounting and finance leadership
- Process all employee expenses
- Train practice administrators on accounting systems
- Journal entries for all credit cards
- Manage shared AP inbox
- Review invoices to ensure negotiated discounts are applied
- Work with other teams to standardize corporate accounting procedures
- Dependable, detail-oriented, high level of accuracy
- Openness when receiving and giving feedback and critiques
- Excellent time management skills – the ability to work under a deadline, juggle multiple projects at a time, and wear multiple hats
- Eagerness to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
- Ability to think on your feet and work independently
- Willingness to expand and practice skills outside your expertise or comfort zone
- Natural curiosity and desire to solve problems
- Experience with multi-state healthcare
- Experience with Sage Intacct
- Dental knowledge preferred
- A bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is strongly preferred, will consider experience in lieu of a degree
- 2 years of accounting experience preferably accounts payable
- 2 years of Bill.com experience
- Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficient computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proven ability to interact with all levels of management and other staff
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with demonstrated teamwork and vendor management skills
