What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Analyst position at Allied Medical LLC?
Description:
- Own Inventory-related Transactions - Fully trained to perform all inventory-related transactions in the ERP system (Dataworks)
- Data & Insight Ownership – analyse inventory trends (slow moving/ obsolete)
- Identify root cause, variance & recurring errors
- Recommend process/ layout changes data-led
- KPI Design & Performance Tracking – build & maintain dashboards (accuracy, pick rates, stock turns, ageing)
- Track adherence to KPI & highlight exceptions
- Support Supervisor with performance reporting
- Process Improvement – Map current vs. future state
- Identify inefficiencies in picking, put-away & replenishment
- Support barcode / scanning rollout with data validation
- ERP & Systems Ownership – Maintain item master data integrity (locations, units & classification)
- Audit transaction usage (who’s doing what wrong in the system)
- Act as the bridge between operations & IT/ system users
- Inventory Optimization – ABC classification maintenance (not just setup – ongoing tuning)
- Safety stock / reorder parameter recommendation
- Support exit from external warehouse via data modelling (stock level, space needs, put-away location setup & allocation i.e. if slow moving)
- 2 years of experience in inventory analysis, materials planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations
- Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and inventory analysis
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing setting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of data accuracy
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across plant and corporate teams
