Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced BIM Modeler with a strong background in plumbing & mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will possess advanced 3D modeling skills and a understanding of prefabrication. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and efficient production of constructible piping and ductwork models. You will work closely with superintendents and project teams to deliver high-quality BIM models that facilitate seamless prefabrication and installation.
Schedule
Work schedule is Monday through Friday, averaging 40-50 hours per week, with department hours from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Start and end times are flexible based on project demands, and the schedule will vary accordingly.

Responsibilities
• BIM Modeling & Prefabrication:
• Utilize Revit to create detailed and accurate 3D models of plumbing and mechanical systems, developing constructible piping and ductwork models optimized for prefabrication
• Utilize specialized software, including MSuite for piping and CamDuct for ductwork, to manage all aspects of prefabrication, from modeling and spool drawing creation to bill of materials generation and tracking through field installation
• Point Cloud:
• Comprehension and ability to model within Point Cloud
• Collaboration & Coordination:
• Collaborate closely with superintendents and project managers to ensure model accuracy and constructability.
• Participate in model coordination meetings with other trade partners
• Work within the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) environment.
• Quality Control:
• Ensure models meet project specifications and standards.
• Resolve modeling conflicts and clashes.
• Ensure that models are actually able to be prefabricated.
Ideal Candidate would possess any of the following:
• Proven experience in BIM modeling and prefabrication of plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit is a MUST.
• Experience with MSuite for piping prefabrication and spool drawings.
• Familiarity with CamDuct software.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Ability to work with NWC files.
• Understanding of bill of materials creation and tracking.
• Experience with laser scanning and point cloud modeling is a plus.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and constructability.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in heavy industrial, wastewater plants, water treatment, pharmaceutical, hospitals, research facilities, universities, or event centers is highly desirable.
