Responsibilities
- Actively engage with the public to explain the purpose of petitions and gather signatures.
- Utilize effective communication techniques to persuade individuals to support various initiatives.
- Conduct door-to-door outreach as well as engage with people at events and public spaces.
- Maintain a positive attitude while interacting with potential signers, addressing their questions and concerns.
- Collaborate with team members to strategize outreach efforts and maximize signature collection.
- Keep accurate records of signatures collected and report progress regularly.
- Utilize negotiation skills to encourage participation and support for initiatives.
- Employ bilingual skills, if applicable, to communicate effectively with a diverse audience.
Experience
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, telemarketing, or fundraising is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Experience in electioneering or grassroots campaigning is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including door-to-door canvassing and public events.
