INVENTORY SPECIALIST
Austin Location
Job Responsibilities:
- Primary point of contact for inventory controls within the warehouse in addition to within the Inventory Management Software (transactions in/out of software)
- Managing the administrative responsibilities for shipping and receiving of incoming and outgoing material and equipment
- Monitoring and tracking of shipments; confirming and communicating delivery to operations teams
- Coordinating with warehouse staff, shop drivers, and operations team to create a smooth workflow of material and equipment
- Assisting with the establishment or the updating of company Inventory SOPs
- Ensuring all inventory is reviewed, organized and audits are done for replenishment
- Placing inventory restock orders
- Counting and balancing material kept in inventory
- Evaluating and managing stock rotation procedures, as applicable
- Work with vendors to resolve issues if items are missing or damaged within shipments
- Communicating with company management about any inventory issues
- Generating inventory accountability and price lists
- Forecasting and maintaining inventory storage space in the warehouse; Ensuring efficient organization of the warehouse
- Training staff in stocking procedures and dating methods
- Assist with evaluating the selection and shipping process; work to improve efficiency
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and update inventory as needed; ability to adapt processes into a digital process (bar coding, scanning, etc) as a future goal
- Other duties as assigned

- Submit accurate Timesheet – job numbers/names, OT and travel pay, completed on time, etc., support transition to Electronic timesheet submittal
- Ensure all required documents are complete, accurate and professional, with required signatures
- Ensure proper Inventory Management – review, update, and approve packing slips – submitted timely, proper material management
- Timely processing of returns; Keep jobsites clean and organized
- Support and ensure adherence to company SOPs
- Communicate effectively and professionally within the department and with internal and external customers
- Teamwork – maintain positive interactions within your team, local office, etc.
- Actively participate in required team meetings
Knowledge:
- Basic Math and Reading
- Understand and follow basic Safety procedures
- Minimum education of High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Forklift Certified preferred
Work Experience:
- Inventory or shipping and receiving experience
- Warehouse coordinating experience
Skills and Competencies:
- Basic to Intermediate computer skills required (MS Office Software)
- Inventory Management software experience
- Good communication skills; both verbal and written
- Sense of pride, integrity, and organizational ability
- Must enjoy working independently and outdoors
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and walking for most of the shift
- Working in heights to organize high shelving
- Lifting up to 50lbs
- Use of warehouse machinery on a daily basis
- Able to bend, reach and kneel with ease
