The Outside Equipment and Parts Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue through in-person consultations, prospecting new accounts, and maintaining long-term partnerships with fleet owners, contractors, and municipalities within a designated geographic area.
Key Responsibilities
· Territory Management: Actively manage a call schedule to cover an assigned territory efficiently. This includes cold calling at new facilities or onesite to identify prospects.
· Face-to-Face Consultations: Conduct daily in-person meetings to understand client operational challenges and identify product or service needs.
· On-Site Demonstrations: Perform hands-on product demonstrations and equipment inspections directly at customer job sites.
· Quotes & Technical Proposals: Prepare and deliver detailed sales quotes, bid specifications, and tailored proposals to address specific client requirements.
· Account Growth: Re-engage dormant accounts and promote high-value support programs like maintenance contracts or specialized testing.
· CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate, real-time records of sales activities, call frequencies, and pipeline updates.
Requirements & Qualifications
· Field Experience: 2–5 years of outside sales experience, ideally within heavy construction or industrial sectors.
· Autonomy: Must be a self-starter capable of working independently without daily office supervision.
· Mobility: A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are mandatory for extensive travel.
· Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence for rapport-building and strong negotiation skills for closing complex field deals.
· Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering is preferred for technical equipment sales.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
