What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Accounting Coordinator position at Allied Environmental Services, Inc.?
POSITION SUMMARY: Handles data entry for Payables and Receivables. Also assists with purchasing to ensure a consistent process and any other clerical accounting functions as designated by management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Place orders as directed by authorized purchasers. Create purchase orders as directed and charge to the account designated by Accounting Manager.
- Ensure proper purchasing procedure is followed and items, materials, etc… are allocated to a specific job or placed in inventory for future use.
- Track all purchases on a spreadsheet.
- Contact customers for additional information or direction as directed.
- May include monthly inventory in warehouse.

- Scan relevant project documents – rename docs and save in project folders.
- Filing
- Able to meet deadlines
- Work efficiently without direct supervision
- Proficient use of all office equipment – computer, 10-key calculator, copier, scanner, fax, multi-line phone system.
- Able to follow detailed direction, adapt to changes and last-minute requests

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma preferred with five or more years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as business manuals, operating and maintenance instructions procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to communicate and conduct business via e-mail and telephones.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PAY AND SCHEDULE: $15 to $17 per hour, but flexible depending on experience. This position is a part-time position.
