Job Description:
AESI is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager
to join our growing team in our Bozeman, Montana office. The ideal candidate will have 15 to 25 years of
post-college experience in all aspects of civil engineering projects, from concept through construction,
and a proven track record of managing and leading project teams. The position will be based out of our
Bozeman, MT office but may require some travel.
Salary Range:
$125,000-$145,000, Depends on Experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple projects simultaneously from concept to completion.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Write project proposals.
- Complete projects both independently and as part of a team.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
- Utilize Autodesk Civil 3D for engineering design of roads, water, and sewer infrastructure, and 3D grading with surfaces.
- Perform complex engineering calculations and prepare detailed technical evaluations, reports, construction plan sets, specifications, bidding documents, estimates, and permitting applications.
- Collaborate with other team members to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Review/redline and provide QA/QC on engineering reports, plan sets, specifications, and project submittal packages.
- Attend and lead meetings with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure quality and compliance with industry standards on a variety of civil-related projects and tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering and 15 to 25 years of post-graduate experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Proven experience in managing and executing civil engineering projects from concept through construction.
- Excellent computer and technical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel minimum) required.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2022 (or newer) required. Knowledge of Autodesk Vault Professional preferred.
- Proven experience with engineering permitting processes and requirements with local/regional knowledge preferred.
- High level of personal responsibility, accountability, and analytical aptitude.
- Quality-oriented and willing to work on a variety of civil engineering related projects and tasks.
- Interpersonal skills to meet and communicate effectively (both written and verbal) with managers, fellow employees, contractors, and clients.
