Seeking a Project Manager to join the Capital Projects group, reporting directly to the Capital Projects Manager. This role will lead multiple small-to-mid-sized capital projects from early concept through construction and closeout within a process manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate is a self-driven professional with a strong mechanical or process background and experience in process safety environments such as chemicals, refining, or similar industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple capital projects simultaneously, primarily smaller-scale initiatives
- Lead projects from conceptual development through engineering, procurement, construction, and completion
- Develop project scope, cost estimates, and execution strategies
- Solicit and evaluate contractor bids and vendor proposals
- Work closely with vendors to develop preliminary pricing and technical solutions
- Define project requirements and determine when to engage engineering firms or specialty consultants
- Collaborate cross-functionally with:
- Operations teams
- Construction managers
- Contractors and field personnel
- Ensure alignment with plant safety standards, particularly in a process safety environment
- Oversee project execution to ensure schedule, budget, and quality expectations are met
- Provide regular project updates and recommendations to leadership
