Primary Objectives of Position:
The Energy Customer Service Representative (CSR) serves as the primary point of contact for residential, commercial customers. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer support, processing orders, scheduling deliveries, resolving billing issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities of the Position:
- Answer inbound customer calls and respond to inquiries regarding propane deliveries, tank levels, pricing, billing, and services
- Schedule propane deliveries and service appointments
- Process payments and assist customers with billing questions or discrepancies
- Set up new customer accounts and maintain accurate customer records
- Educate customers on propane safety, payment options, and service plans
- Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate when necessary
- Monitor customer tank levels (via monitoring systems if applicable)
- Promote company products, service agreements, and tank monitoring programs
- Maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of customer service experience
- Maintain a positive attitude and have good verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computers
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
