Allied Consultants, Inc. is an Austin-based firm which has for 31 years been a premier provider of technical and business professionals to clients in Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to be a key resource on a technical services team.

Responsibilities

Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.

Under the direction of the Deputy Associate Commissioner for Program Operations for the Department of State Health Services (DSHS), serves as the key conduit for the enterprise-wide implementation and migration of LMS (Learning Management System) applications to the enterprise e-Learning platform. Oversees implementation and operation of DSHS’s current and future LMS platforms. Project Manages LMS project at various levels of completion and monitoring the progress and schedule. This position will communicate with project stakeholder(s), management, and all other relevant parties.

Oversees all DSHS LMS activities. Work includes but not limited to, administering LMS activities, maintaining data records, running reports, researching new technology, testing courses, providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, assigning user roles, certifying DSHS developers and maintaining LMS processes. This position works with instructional designers, eLearning developers and other stakeholders to ensure courses are deployed on the LMS and meets business needs.
Liaisons across DSHS on agency wide LMS operations, enabling DSHS to fulfill its mission.
