Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks and large vans to deliver appliances to residential and commercial customers.
- Load and unload appliances efficiently using equipment like forklifts or manual lifting techniques while adhering to safety protocols.
- Install appliances accurately according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements, ensuring full functionality.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly, answering questions, and addressing concerns professionally during delivery and setup.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintain delivery logs, and ensure compliance with all transportation regulations including route driving and manual transmission handling.
- Assist with warehouse organization, inventory management, and preparing appliances for delivery.
- Troubleshoot installation issues on-site and coordinate with support teams when necessary to resolve technical problems promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations with a focus on appliance or heavy equipment delivery.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or large van drivers preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Physical ability to lift heavy appliances repeatedly and perform moving tasks safely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Familiarity with route driving, load & unload procedures, and safety standards related to heavy lifting and manual transmission vehicles.
- Prior experience with warehouse tasks including inventory management, forklift operation, or moving is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
