Duties
- Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Utilize culinary skills to create innovative dessert offerings that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
- Not needed but a plus if they can decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of all pastry items for service.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies needed for pastry production.
- Participate in catering events as required, providing exceptional customer service while delivering high-quality desserts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
- Strong culinary skills with proficiency in knife techniques and food handling practices.
- Knowledge of cake decorating techniques and an understanding of various pastry styles.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
- Excellent attention to detail with a passion for creating visually stunning desserts.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Previous experience in catering is a plus but not required.
