Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits across manufacturing facilities to identify hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards.
- Develop, deliver, and document comprehensive safety training programs focused on OSHA regulations, OSHA recordkeeping, first aid procedures, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and emergency response protocols.
- Investigate workplace incidents using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate report writing for incident reports, safety inspections, hazard assessments, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure adherence to environmental protection agency (EPA) standards related to hazardous materials handling and waste disposal.
- Stay up-to-date with workers' compensation law requirements and manage workers' compensation claims efficiently.
- Collaborate with management to develop occupational health initiatives that promote worker well-being and safe work practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments or industrial settings with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and occupational health standards.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, EPA regulations related to hazardous materials, and OSHA training are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation law, report writing, root cause analysis, and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) management systems.
- Ability to conduct effective training sessions focused on safety & health best practices for diverse teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the capacity to prepare detailed reports and deliver clear safety instructions.
- Strong analytical skills for identifying hazards, investigating incidents, and implementing corrective measures.
