Multinationals Regional Commerciall Underwriter

• Contribute to MNC-specific Commercial strategy through execution and monitoring of AZT Commercial Underwriting standards, under the responsibility of Hof MNC CUW
• Commercial UW validate the Price, terms & conditions, wording, provide support and deliver expertise on complex cases to engineer the appropriate solution
  
  

Key Responsibilities And Duties

• Take responsibility for the proper implementation of the Commercial Underwriting rules according to the authority level
• Detail checklist for structuring of complex contractual agreements with customers
• Support Head of Distribution in the quality control of underwriting documents
• Specify guidelines for development and/or adjustment of new products / clauses from underwriting perspective
• Facilitate business development by providing sales force with solutions in frame of Commercial Underwriting rules
• Provide support & knowledge to Distribution teams while building complex offers and structuring programs
• Drive long-term quality and profitability of portfolio
• Approve terms and conditions of adjusted or new products
• Provide (legal) expertise on specific / non standard wordings to sales
• Govern all underwriting activity on regional and BU level
• Participate in Commercial Underwriting audits promoted by Head of CUW
• Train Regional Distribution teams on the underwriting standards
  
  

Required Qualifications And Skills

• Competent knowledge of the credit insurance industry, products and regulations
• Advanced knowledge of regional and multinational market specifics
• Advanced knowledge of Commercial Underwriting, including relevant processes and tools linked to products
• Expert ability to structure complex contractual agreements (including reinsurance contracts) and provide solutions to complex bespoke policy requirements
• Advance ability to use underwriting framework to drive profitability
• Competent ability to manage projects
• Advanced ability to convince stakeholders in discussion and presentation of ideas and analysis
• Advanced ability to communicate well via all mediums (eg. email, phone) and at all levels of an organization within a multicultural setting
• Competent ability to operate in a matrix structure
• Competent knowledge of basic IT systems (eg. MS Word, Excel) and ability to learn new systems
• Expert knowledge of written and spoken English

Total Compensation Range

$175,000 - $190,000

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience, skills for the role and location. Salary ranges are only one component of our total compensation package.
