Overview

We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead complex aerospace automation and advanced manufacturing programs from concept through delivery. This role is ideal for an experienced project leader who understands the realities of delivering custom-engineered equipment involving mechanical systems, controls, software, manufacturing, suppliers, and customer stakeholders.

You will own project execution across scope, schedule, budget, risk, and customer communication, ensuring the successful delivery of highly technical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex technical programs from requirements definition through design, manufacturing, integration, installation, and customer acceptance
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, forecasts, and resource plans
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, software, controls, and external vendors
  • Translate customer requirements into clear project deliverables and execution plans
  • Manage customer expectations, scope changes, and commercial impacts
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, status reports, and risk registers
  • Support design reviews, integration planning, commissioning, and production readiness activities
  • Partner with commercial and engineering teams during proposal development and project planning
  • Ensure clear communication across customers, leadership, engineering teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners
  • Help maintain project discipline by preventing scope creep and aligning commitments with execution capabilities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • 7 years of experience managing complex technical programs involving automation, robotics, tooling, capital equipment, manufacturing systems, or engineered products
  • Experience within aerospace, advanced manufacturing, industrial automation, robotics, custom machinery, or similar technical environments
  • Strong technical credibility with engineering and manufacturing teams
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, controls, PLCs, robotics, software integration, or automated equipment
  • Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and customer deliverables
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Primavera, or similar
  • Must meet applicable export-control eligibility requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aerospace production systems or aerospace OEM/Tier 1 supplier experience
  • Experience with robotic drilling, fastening, inspection, assembly automation, or precision tooling
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training
  • Experience managing multimillion-dollar technical programs
  • Exposure to factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), commissioning, or production readiness activities
  • CAD experience for design reviews and technical discussions
  • Supplier management and long-lead equipment coordination experience
  • Experience within low-volume, high-precision manufacturing environments

Pay: $160,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
