What You’ll Do
Technical Installation & Support
- Assist lead technician with installing structured cabling (low‑voltage wiring), mounting cameras, card readers, alarm devices, and more.
- Learn how to configure and program video surveillance, access control, and intrusion systems.
- Build troubleshooting fundamentals and help diagnose wiring, connectivity, and equipment issues.
- Keep tools, materials, and job sites clean, organized, and accounted for.
Operational & Logistical Responsibilities
- Accurately document the work you complete using Microsoft Office tools.
- Travel up to 100% of the time to commercial job sites across multiple states—typically home on weekends.
- Follow all company and site safety requirements without exception.
Skills & Qualifications
You don’t need to come in knowing everything. But you’ll succeed if you have:
- A basic understanding of electronics OR relevant technical training.
- Interest in the security industry (CCTV, access control, alarms, networking).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
Physical Requirements
- Stooping, kneeling, bending for extended periods.
- Crawling in confined spaces (attics, crawlspaces).
- Working safely on ladders and lifts.
- Safe use of power and hand tools.
- Able to lift 50 lbs
