Legal Director of Case ManagementAlliant DisabilityNational Social Security Disability AdvocacyPosition OverviewAlliant Disability is seeking a high-performing Director of Case Management to lead and optimize our national Social Security Disability (SSD/SSDI) operations.This executive-level role is responsible for:Evaluating case viability and suitability for firm acceptanceServing as an SSA-eligible Representative for Direct PaymentManaging and developing a team of SSD case managersThe ideal candidate is operationally disciplined, analytically strong, and experienced in high-volume SSD environments.Core ResponsibilitiesCase Viability & Firm Intake OversightProvide strategic opinion on the viability and suitability of cases for inclusion into the firm.Oversee quality control of new case intake prior to formal acceptance.Evaluate medical evidence sufficiency, vocational factors, and procedural posture.Establish acceptance criteria aligned with approval probability and operational capacity.SSA Representation & Direct PaymentServe as a Representative eligible for Direct Payment through the Social Security Administration (SSA).Ensure compliance with SSA regulations, fee agreements, and direct payment requirements.Oversee proper submission and tracking of fee agreements and 1696 forms.Team Leadership & ManagementDirectly manage and develop a team of SSD case managers.Establish clear performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability standards.Conduct weekly performance reviews and inventory audits.Train, mentor, and coach case managers from application through adjudication.Operational Systems & WorkflowOversee workflow management within Clio Grow & Manage.Standardize stage-based checklists and enforce SOP compliance.Implement structured QA audits across all files.Maintain strict adherence to SSA deadlines and procedural requirements.QualificationsAdmitted to practice law in at least one state and in good standing with the applicable state bar.5 years of Social Security Disability experience.Eligible Representative with SSA for Direct Payment.2 years managing SSD case managers in a high-volume environment.Demonstrated success managing large-scale SSD inventory.Strong understanding of SSDI and SSI lifecycle (Application → Reconsideration → Hearing → Appeals).Experience building SOPs, KPIs, and operational reporting systems.Strong leadership presence with a metrics-driven mindset.Why Alliant DisabilityWe are building a modern, performance-driven national SSD advocacy firm focused on operational excellence, claimant experience, and disciplined inventory management.
