Job Overview
We are an expanding dermatology office seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a clinical setting. This position requires a compassionate individual who can effectively assist healthcare professionals and ensure a smooth patient experience.
Duties
As a Certified Medical Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Escort patients to exam rooms, triage patients, and document all information in the patient's chart.
- Assist medical providers in exam rooms.
- Perform procedures under the supervision of a medical provider.
- Assist with surgical procedures including MOHS, Excisions, Biopsy, and similar.
- Give instructions to patients and educate patients as instructed by the medical provider.
- Ensure all related reports, labs and information are scanned and available in patient's chart prior to their appointment.
- Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies and prepare sterilization as required.
- Take phone messages, provide feedback and answers to patient/provider and pharmacy calls.
- Ensure the clinic environment is clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations.
- Provide exceptional patient care, addressing any concerns or questions patients may have.
- Must be able to travel between all locations and work with all medical providers across these locations.
Experience
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A commitment to providing compassionate care to all patients.
