Technical Project Manager (Contract | Hybrid)
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the execution of high-impact, cross-functional initiatives on a global technology client account. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding complex projects from early planning through delivery, working closely with engineering, product, design, and business teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in dynamic environments, and excels at creating clarity across multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
Location: Portland, OR — Hybrid, 3 days per week on-site
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 3 months, with the possibility of extension through end of 2026
Contract Type: Temporary (W2)
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the end-to-end delivery of large-scale technical programs, from kickoff through launch and post-release support.
- Coordinate cross-team efforts spanning design, development, integration, testing, and deployment.
- Establish and manage program operating rhythms, ensuring smooth communication and alignment across partner groups.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Deliver timely, high-quality communication and updates tailored to audiences ranging from team members to senior leadership.
- Create and maintain program documentation including project plans, RASCI charts, risk logs, and related materials.
- Foster a culture of operational rigor, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 5 years of project or program management experience in technology, preferably in product-driven or platform environments.
- Proven track record leading multi-stakeholder initiatives across functions and geographies.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, PDLC, and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple parallel workstreams.
- Proficiency with modern PM tools such as Jira, Confluence, Airtable, and Gantt chart planning.
- Skilled in distilling technical and strategic issues into clear actions and communications.
- Comfortable with ambiguity; proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Experience
- Advanced knowledge of agile frameworks and technical project management tools.
- Hands-on experience with Airtable and Jira.
