What You'll Do:
The VP/Investments Product Strategy & Development - Americas role has the following responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the firm's investment product strategy in alignment with strategic and corporate growth objectives
- Evaluate investment market trends, distribution channel dynamics, competitor fund offerings and core competencies to drive thoughtful new product ideation
- Identify product gaps, opportunities and competitive positioning to strategically align the organization around high potential new product opportunities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization including distribution and investments leadership to drive new product decision making and prioritization
- Develop comprehensive business cases in support of new product proposals
- Lead end-to-end product development processes including oversight of internal and fund board review and approvals
- Work with key functional areas to ensure operational readiness and scalability for new product introductions
- Systematically review AB's product line to ensure the current offering is positioned appropriately in the marketplace.
- Propose product actions to optimize the offering including pricing changes, investment strategy enhancements, and/or fund rationalizations
What We're Looking For:
- 7-10 years of experience in investment product or related role
- Comprehensive understanding of capital markets, investment vehicles, and the marketplace (especially US Retail and North America Institutional)
- Proven ability to develop and launch successful investment products across multiple channels
- Demonstrated leadership and influence with cross functional teams and senior leadership
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to simplify complex investment ideas
- Experience with industry databases (e.g., Morningstar, Simfund and Bloomberg)
- Adept with Microsoft office suite
- Advanced degree preferred (e.g., MBA, CFA)
- A strong team contributor, self-starter and a role model for work ethic and professionalism.
