About the Role:
Alliance Wound Care Services is currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner with a strong interest or background in wound management. This role offers the opportunity to care for patients in a variety of settings while working autonomously within a supportive clinical framework. You’ll have the ability to directly impact patient outcomes and comfort by providing high-quality, evidence-based wound care in the field.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of acute and chronic wounds across diverse patient populations
- Create tailored treatment plans using up-to-date clinical protocols
- Perform advanced wound care procedures, including debridement and negative pressure wound therapy
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound healing, hygiene, and ongoing care techniques
- Accurately complete documentation and apply appropriate coding (ICD-10) for all patient interactions
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and facility staff to ensure coordinated care
- Provide mobile care across multiple locations, including private residences, SNFs, and ALFs
- Stay current on the latest developments in wound treatment through ongoing training and continuing education
Qualifications:
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner in Texas
- Prior experience in wound care or post-acute care preferred
- Skilled in debridement and use of wound care devices (e.g., wound vacs)
- Familiarity with proper documentation, ICD-10 coding, and treatment protocols
- Surgical or vascular care experience is a plus
- Excellent bedside manner with a commitment to patient-centered care
- Ability to travel within the designated region to provide on-site care
