Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Conduct floor care procedures such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a professional appearance.
- Execute carpet cleaning tasks utilizing specialized equipment to remove stains and dirt effectively.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and other consumables to ensure continuous availability.
- Follow established safety protocols and environmentally friendly cleaning procedures to promote health and sustainability.
- Maintain cleaning equipment by performing routine inspections and reporting any repairs needed.
- Assist with waste removal and recycling efforts in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or institutional settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of various cleaning techniques including floor care, carpet cleaning, and buffing.
- Familiarity with environmental services standards and safety regulations related to cleaning operations.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers, extractors, and vacuums safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
