Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for new and established patients
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions across the lifespan
- Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans including psychopharmacology and therapy referrals
- Monitor patient progress, adjust medication regimens, and document clinical outcomes accurately
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team including therapists, counselors, and primary care providers
- Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, medications, and mental wellness strategies
- Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system
Requirements:
- Active Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) certification required
- Current, unrestricted Maryland state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
- DEA registration and prescriptive authority in the state of Maryland
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a psychiatric/mental health specialty
- Experience in outpatient psychiatric care, medication management, and psychopharmacology preferred
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-first approach to care
