Description
Alliance Wellness Center is seeking a Mental Health Practitioner to join our Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) Program team. Practitioners are core members of the treatment team who work directly with clients, implementing individualized treatment plans, documenting progress, and supporting recovery through evidence-based, culturally responsive care.
Alliance Wellness Center specializes in serving immigrant, East African, and underserved populations, with a mission to deliver holistic and trauma-informed services that reduce disparities in mental health and substance use care.
Schedule: Full-Time, 1.0 FTE, primarily onsite
Location: Alliance Wellness Center – St Paul, MN
Hiring Range: Competitive, based on experience
Main Job Duties
- Provide direct services under the supervision of a Mental Health Professional, consistent with MN Statutes 245I.04 and 245I.23.
- Implement and document individualized treatment plans.
- Facilitate individual and group skills training focused on illness management, independent living skills, and recovery.
- Monitor client progress, symptoms, and functioning, providing feedback to the treatment team.
- Deliver services that are culturally responsive and trauma-informed.
- Support clients in crisis situations using approved de-escalation and intervention techniques.
- Maintain timely and complete documentation in accordance with DHS 245I.10.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and care coordination.
Requirements
Per DHS 245I.04, Subd. 4 – Mental Health Practitioner qualifications: must meet at least one of the following:
- Has 4,000 hours of supervised experience delivering services to individuals with a mental illness.
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field and has 2,000 hours of supervised experience in mental health services.
- Has a master’s or doctoral degree in behavioral science or related field.
- Is a graduate student in behavioral science who is formally assigned to an internship or clinical training program.
- Is a qualified mental health case manager under 245.462, Subd. 4.

Pay: $24.77 - $27.40 per hour
