Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their assets. This role requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to observe and record activities on-site.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, ensuring the safety of individuals and property.
- Conduct thorough inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential security risks.
- Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance when necessary, ensuring the well-being of individuals in distress.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or investigations.
- Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken in detailed reports.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid armed security officer license or certification as required by state regulations.
- Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is preferred.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and conflict management strategies is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in operating surveillance systems (CCTV) and other security technology.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in emergency response is a plus.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction with clients.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
