Job Summary:
Seeking a full-time Safety Manager & Safety Coordinator for a project in Spartanburg SC.
The Safety Manager is responsible for implementing, administering, maintaining and coordinating all Company safety policies and programs. Ensures compliance with all Company and Customer safety policies and procedures; as well as Federal and State Standards. Develops and manages Safety/Health initiatives aimed at preventing and eliminating occupational incidents, injuries and illnesses.
Safety Manager must meet the following qualifications:
* 10 years of experience in construction safety with minimum 5 years in Safety Manager role
* OSHA 510 & 500
* First Aid/CPR current certification
* Safety certification recognized by the Board of Safety Professionals (ie STSC, CHST, CSP) or degree in Safety
* Pass Background Check, Motor Vehicle Record Check and Drug Screen
* Ability to travel between jobsites as needed
Safety Coordinator works under the direction of the Safety Manager and Project Manager and must meet the following qualifications:
* OSHA 500 and 510 certification
* First Aid/CPR current certification
* Minimum 3 years as a dedicated field safety coordinator for construction
General Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fully support all Company and Site/Customer safety policies, procedures and programs and Federal and State Standards.
- Ensure implementation and compliance with Company Safety Policies, Procedures and Programs
- Schedule and perform documented jobsite safety audits/inspections to determine compliance with all Company and Customer safety policies, procedures and programs and federal, state safety standards.
- Oversee and maintain activities for all permit activities at the project.
- Safety training as needed
- Conduct or direct activities aimed at identifying potential hazards and develop safety action plans to correct any non-compliance issues and work with operations and management for implementation.
- Develop processes and plans to reduce or eliminate hazards and safety incidents.
- As needed, prepare written reports and summaries to provide concise, meaningful information regarding safety audits, investigations and issues.
- Conduct and coordinate root cause investigations on recordable incidents, near misses and vehicle incidents.
- Utilize the root cause analysis to help operations identify and implement corrective actions to help prevent future reoccurrence of similar incidents.
- Participate in and take the lead in any OSHA inspection process as defined in the Company Safety Manual and effectively communicate with project stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain safety related records and reports.
- Teach, counsel and mentor all stakeholders to uphold the Company Safety Culture.
- Coordinate Activities with and support management.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
· Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and lead others to create, develop and implement project process improvement(s).
· Must promote Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners.
· Must be able to act as the Company liaison for interface with customer, vendor, contractor, and Company representative(s).
· Must possess proven problem solving and critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).
· Must possess the manual dexterity, flexibility and visual acuity to perform inspection functions requiring walking, climbing, squatting, lifting, bending, twisting, etc.
· Must possess the ability to learn the Company and customer computer systems.
· Regular attendance is mandatory.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Proficient computer knowledge and experience utilizing MS Office (WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint & Outlook)
· Must be detail-oriented with high level organizational skills
· Ability to communicate effectively with project stakeholders including field personnel, Company management and customer interfaces
· Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
· Must have proven ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
