Alliance Resource Group has partnered with an established client in the entertainment industry to identify an Accounting Supervisor to join their growing team. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to the Senior VP of Accounting & Finance. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, leadership experience, and a desire to grow within a dynamic and mission-driven organization that hosts large-scale public events.
Purpose
The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for analyzing financial records and reports while overseeing day‑to‑day accounting operations—from inputting, reconciling, and processing invoices, expense reimbursements, credit‑card activity, and bank transactions to preparing financial statements and management reports. The role supervises staff accountants, collaborates with volunteers during major events, and partners directly with the Senior VP of Accounting & Finance. A self‑starter who shows initiative will find clear growth opportunities within the department and the broader organization.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 7 years of relevant accounting experience.
- 1 recent supervisory experience
- Demonstrated experience directly supervising or managing team members.
Essential Functions
- Month‑End / Quarter‑End / Year‑End Close
- Manage the full close cycle for assigned areas; review staff work.
- Prepare GAAP‑compliant financials (Balance Sheet, Income Statement).
- Review and post closing journal entries; maintain account reconciliations.
- Reconciliations & Analysis
- Oversee schedules such as prepaids, fixed assets, and accrued liabilities.
- Analyze key GL accounts, budget‑to‑actual, and reforecast‑to‑actual variances.
- Budget & Forecast Support
- Compile data for annual budget and quarterly reforecasts; assist with preparation.
- Audit & Compliance
- Prepare support schedules for financial statement reviews, taxes, and other audits.
- Ensure timely filings (sales tax, 1099s, tax returns, etc.) and collection of W‑9s/W‑8s.
- Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements.
- Event Accounting
- Recruit, train, and manage finance volunteers for large‑scale entertainment events.
- Record on‑site financial transactions and reconcile event activity.
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Protect sensitive information and uphold organizational confidentiality.
- Continuously expand professional knowledge through training and education.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior VP of Accounting & Finance.

- Proficiency in Excel is required; experience with QuickBooks preferred.
- Ability to work off‑site at entertainment events and collaborate with volunteers, staff, and vendors.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
