What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corner Board Stacker & Loaders Day Shift Monday to Thursday 5am to 3:30pm (4-10s) position at Alliance Plastics?
General Purpose: Responsible for the efficient setup, operation and preventative, maintenance of the Corner Board Machine to produce high quality edge guard for the packaging industry.
Essential Job Functions:
Ability to lead and communicate with precise direction to crew members daily, weekly and monthly goals
Ability to perform all crew member functions and responsibilities
Conduct make ready by ensuring that the correct material is selected, and machine settings are set for optimal run speed for producing high quality edge guard.
Ensure that customer packaging and quality standards are met. Verify thickness, width, length, glue adherence, board angle, and accurate piece count. (Band, tag, and wrap palettes)
Follows established standard operating procedures and works to meet all score card metrics. (safety, quality, production, and waste management)
Conducts line clearance to ensure that customer/material mixture does not occur
Completes all required documents
Responsible for material handling and product segregation
Performs preventative maintenance and housekeeping of workstations
-Ability to read a tape measure and measure up to 1/32
-Adhere to safety rules and guidelines
-Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed
-Must be able to manage time and crew members effectively
- Must be able to problem solve
- Must have goo math skills
- Must have good written and communication skills
- Must have attention to detail
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
