What are the responsibilities and job description for the Platform Engineer position at Alliance Networks | Technical Recruiting | Contingent Workforce & Permanent Recruiting Nationwide?
Platform Engineer
(US Citizen or Green card)

Prior fast growing or startup company experience preferred
You’ll own the reliability and developer experience of a growing platform end-to-end. Today, core areas like CI/CD, infrastructure, monitoring, and testing are being managed ad hoc—this role brings dedicated ownership.

What You’ll Own
- CI/CD & Deployments: Build and improve pipelines for speed, reliability, and consistency
- Infrastructure: Manage and extend cloud resources using infrastructure-as-code
- Observability: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to proactively catch issues
- Testing Systems: Improve how the team writes, runs, and scales tests (including end-to-end)
- Reliability: Support uptime, incident response, and stability of distributed workflows
- Database Performance: Optimize queries, indexing, and overall data health
What You Bring
- Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and IaC (Terraform or similar)
- Hands-on CI/CD experience building pipelines
- Familiarity with observability and logging tools
- Solid backend development skills (Python preferred)
- Experience with distributed/async systems
- Comfort working in a small team with high ownership
Nice to Have
- End-to-end testing frameworks
- Workflow orchestration tools
- Security/compliance awareness
- Experience in data-heavy or ML-adjacent systems
- Background in early-stage environments
