Marina Guest Service Associate / Dockhand

Fernandina Harbor Marina is looking for energetic, dependable, and customer-focused Dockhands to join our team. As a Dockhand, you’ll be at the heart of the marina’s operations—helping boaters dock safely, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring our guests enjoy a seamless waterfront experience. This is an active, hands-on role ideal for individuals who love being outdoors, working on the water, and interacting with people.

What You’ll Do

• Assist boaters with docking, tying lines, and fueling vessels safely.

• Provide excellent guest service: greet arrivals, answer questions, and offer local knowledge about marina amenities and the Fernandina Beach area.

• Maintain marina facilities, docks, and fuel stations—keeping them clean, safe, and stocked.

• Monitor fuel pumps, dispense fuel, and complete accurate fueling records.

• Support transient and seasonal guests with reservations, check-ins, and service requests.

• Perform routine inspections of docks, slips, and equipment; report maintenance or safety issues promptly.

• Help coordinate deliveries and amenities for guests (ice, packages, pump-outs, etc.).

• Uphold company safety and security standards at all times.

Who You Are

• Friendly, professional, and team-oriented.

• Comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.

• Physically able to lift 50 lbs, bend, climb, and perform manual labor.

• Reliable and punctual, with strong attention to detail.

• Safety-conscious with good judgment on the water.

• Previous marina, boating, or hospitality experience is a plus, but we’ll provide training for the right candidate.
