Be the technical backbone of our Service organization—installing, commissioning, maintaining, and repairing commercial laundry systems with precision and care. You'll protect uptime for our customers while adhering to Alliance Laundry Systems quality standards, policies, and procedures.
Role Snapshot
- Primary Focus: Field installation, start-up, operation verification, service, and repair.
- Customer Care: Diagnose issues, explain findings, recommend solutions, and train users post-install.
- Operations Support: Preventive maintenance, accurate documentation, and on-time parts procurement.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with the Service Manager on escalations and process improvements.
Core Responsibilities
- Install equipment to specification and validate performance and safety.
- Perform mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and repair; disassemble/reassemble systems as needed.
- Document work thoroughly; produce accurate service reports.
- Research, place, and track parts orders; audit work orders/invoices to ensure timely parts availability.
- Maintain vehicle stock and submit expense reports accurately and on time.
- Travel within the service territory for scheduled and emergency assignments.
- Respond to unscheduled maintenance requests as assigned by the Service Manager.
- Contribute to best practices that elevate quality, speed, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3 years in commercial, military, industrial, or manufacturing equipment repair preferred (or equivalent education/training/experience).
- Knowledge of single-phase electrical power/equipment required.
- Customer support via phone/email/ticketing dispatch systems preferred.
- MS Outlook, Word, and Excel proficiency preferred.
Skills & Attributes
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting expertise; strong diagnostic instincts.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical schematics and drawings.
- Organized, detail-focused, and able to prioritize multiple tasks with deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communicator; collaborative and professional.

Travel
- Territory-based travel with some overnight stays.
Physical & Other Requirements
- Regular sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, stooping, bending, climbing, and manual dexterity.
- Frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs; assistive devices available for heavier items.
- Frequent talking/hearing and hand use; computer-based tasks require close vision and focus adjustments.
- Valid driver's license required; company vehicle may be provided.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record required.
