As an Industrial Electromechanical Systems Technician II, your evening begins by reviewing work orders in the CMMS, gathering parts, and coordinating with your Group Leader and teammates.
What a Typical Night Looks Like- Diagnose and resolve PLC, electrical, and electronic control issues; design minor circuits to improve machine reliability.
- Pinpoint faults in hydraulic and pneumatic systems and return equipment to optimal performance.
- Install controls and wiring by reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints; perform layouts for new services including panels, breakers, and conduit.
- Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures; complete circuits per diagram specifications.
- Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective mechanical or electrical components, including brushes and armatures.
- Inspect installed equipment for hazards, adjustments, or necessary replacements; use appropriate test instruments for verification.
- Interpret blueprints, work from sketches or verbal instructions, and document work in the CMMS.
- Apply knowledge of electrical power and water distribution systems; perform basic mechanical repairs as needed.
- Handle tasks typical of lower classifications and, at times, provide direction to teammates in those roles.
- Carry out a variety of assignments as directed by the Group Leader.
- Standard Work Hours: 2nd Shift, Monday–Thursday, 3:00 p.m.–1:00 a.m.
- Hourly Rate: $36.79–$41.03, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 paid upon successful hire.
- Two-year Associate degree with 2–4 years of relevant experience.
- Comfort using a computer to search parts and record work in a CMMS.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to safety.
- Standing long period, sitting, manual dexterity, stooping, bending.
- Passing a pre-employment physical including a baseline test of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
