POSITION SUMMARY
Alliance Homecare and TrustHouse are seeking a dynamic, operationally driven Area Director of Operations to oversee and scale our New York City and New Jersey markets. This leader will be responsible for the overall operational, financial, clinical partnership, and growth performance of a multi-million-dollar home care and private nursing business.
The ideal candidate has significant healthcare operations leadership experience with demonstrated success leading high-performing teams in fast-paced, high-touch environments. RN background strongly preferred. This individual must possess the ability to balance exceptional client experience, operational efficiency, workforce management, and financial performance while supporting strategic growth initiatives across both brands.
This role requires an executive-level operator who can think strategically while remaining highly engaged in day-to-day execution. The successful candidate will partner closely with Clinical Leadership, Sales, Recruiting, Finance, and Client Success teams to drive growth, optimize margins, improve retention, and support exceptional care delivery for clients and families.
The ideal candidate has experience building and scaling operational systems, teams, and infrastructure in rapidly growing healthcare environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Leadership & Market Oversight
· Oversee day-to-day operations across NYC, Long Island, and New Jersey markets
· Lead and develop high-performing operational teams across Scheduling, Client Success, Recruiting, and Care Management
· Drive accountability, operational consistency, staffing stability, and exceptional client experience
· Build scalable operational infrastructure to support continued growth
Financial & P&L Management
· Maintain accountability for regional operational and financial performance
· Drive margin improvement through labor management, staffing optimization, and operational efficiencies
· Monitor KPIs, identify trends, and implement scalable process improvements
· Partner with Finance Leadership on forecasting, budgeting, and operational planning
Clinical Partnership & Quality Oversight
· Partner closely with Clinical Leadership to support quality care delivery and patient outcomes
· Partner closely with Recruiting and Scheduling teams to ensure strong caregiver pipeline development, staffing continuity, and quality talent deployment
· Ensure operational compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and service standards
· Assist in resolving complex client and caregiver situations with professionalism and urgency
Growth & Strategic Partnerships
· Collaborate cross-functionally to support market growth and expansion initiatives
· Support onboarding and operationalization of new partnerships, service lines, and markets
· Help ensure operations can scale effectively while maintaining quality and profitability
Leadership & Team Development
· Foster a culture of accountability, urgency, professionalism, and white-glove service
· Build strong cross-functional relationships across operations, clinical, finance, recruiting, and sales
· Lead with an ownership mentality and commitment to continuous improvement
QUALIFICATIONS
· Healthcare operations leadership experience required; RN background strongly preferred
· Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
· Minimum 5–10 years of healthcare operations leadership experience
· Prior experience overseeing a multi-million-dollar healthcare business or region required
· Strong understanding of private-pay home care, private duty nursing, healthcare staffing, or concierge healthcare strongly preferred
· Proven experience with P&L ownership and financial management
· Demonstrated success scaling teams and operational infrastructure in high-growth environments
· Demonstrated success leading geographically dispersed and multi-site healthcare operations
· Strong operational and financial acumen with the ability to analyze KPIs, identify trends, and implement scalable solutions
· Experience operating in high-touch, concierge-style, or premium service environments preferred
· Strong understanding of staffing operations, workforce management, and healthcare compliance
· Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
· Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments with a high degree of accountability and autonomy
