Alliance for Empowerment is a not-for-profit entity formed as a parent company to take on administrative functions for other non-profit organizations core business functions, including Finance, HR and IT. Alliance for Empowerment was formed between Able2 and Capabilities, Inc. to secure and grow strength for the missions of our organizations.
Alliance for Empowerment is seeking a Network Coordinator to be instrumental in managing and optimizing our network operations, ensuring seamless connectivity and efficient resource allocation across our infrastructure. The Network Coordinator will collaborate with various teams to enhance network performance and support the overall mission of the organization.
Duties:
- Network Management, inclusive of monitoring and maintaining the company's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points;
- Ensure network availability and reliability to support business operations;
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues and outages in a timely manner.
- Assist with security and compliance of the network via implementation and enforcement of the network security policies, access controls, and firewalls;
- Stay updated with the latest security threats and implement best practices to safeguard the network;
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to network security.
- Assist with Network expansions and upgrades as assigned, inclusive of planning and executing as needed.
- Collaborate with identified teams to assess network capacity and propose improvements and/or recommendations to implement new technologies to enhance network performance.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration records, and inventory.
- Assist in developing basic data analytics, dashboards, and reports to support internal departments across the Alliance, as assigned.
- Prepare regular reports on network performance, security, and usage.
- Assist in the creation of documentation for network-related processes and procedures.
- Assist end-users with computer- related issues and provide training as necessary.
- Troubleshoot and collaborate with the Director to ensure timely resolution of user problems.
- Assist Director with the management of relationships with network service providers and technology vendors.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, required.
- Physical ability to handle computer, network and other office equipment as required when performing the responsibilities of the position. This may include lifting up to 50 pounds, twisting, turning, climbing and bending.
- Must have the ability to work non-traditional “business” for hours and assume on-call duties, periodically, as assigned
- Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets the insurability guidelines of the agency.
- Ability to read and write English sufficient to complete duties (electronically or otherwise), associated with position.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and security measures.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or other relevant certifications are preferred but not required.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Possesses foundational skills in extrapolating data and interpreting results to inform decision-making.
