What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist-Recruitment position at Alliance for Empowerment?
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Recruiter is responsible for performing a variety of HR tasks, with particular concentration in the areas of recruiting, on boarding of new hires, and maintaining employee training.
Duties:
- Confirm with supervisors and managers to identify recruiting needs
- Verify accuracy of open positions and send out weekly job posting sheet
- Source applicants through various methods including advertising, recruiting, and attending career/job fairs of various types
- Pre-screen job candidates, conduct candidate phone screens and in person screening interviews as necessary, coordinate interviews cooperatively with hiring managers. Inform candidates fully about the job duties and agency
- Align job candidate profiles with staffing needs
- Verify references and employment verifications, process candidate information for approval, extend offer to new hires
- Schedule candidate for all required background checks through OPWDD regulations and Agency regulations, schedule and conduct pre-employment sessions, enter new hires into HRIS systems and training systems, and schedule and conduct new hire orientation sessions as assigned.
- Provide regular updates and feedback to the Director of Human Resources regarding status of job openings, candidate flow, and any brainstorming ideas regarding the recruitment process
- Manage applicant tracking system
- Enters new employee data into HRIS including but not limited to demographics, education and/or certification. File papers/documents in employee files; perform paper and system audits as necessary.
- Ensure regulatory aspects of the full cycle recruitment process is compliant with Agency requirements as well as federal and state regulations.
- Provides assistance, as needed, to ensure coverage and support of HR functions across all Network Organization(s).
Qualifications/Skills Needed:
- Associates Degree in Human Resources or related field with a minimum of 1 year recruiting experience preferred or a minimum of 3-4 years recruiting experience with a HS Diploma
- Strong computer skills with a high degree of comfort working with Microsoft Office suite
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal organizational skills
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and exercise excellent judgment in handling sensitive issues
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and set and meet goals and deadlines
- Ability to operate effectively both independently and in a team environment
- High degree of flexibility and enthusiasm for working as part of a progressive HR team
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation to be able to travel between Agency locations
Pay: $22.75 - $24.25 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
