What are the responsibilities and job description for the Political Campaign Advisor (Volunteer) position at Alliance for American Leadership?
The Alliance for American Leadership is a nonprofit coalition pushing for strategic U.S. investments.
America’s global strength has never depended on military power alone. It has always come from a deeper belief—shared across the world—that the United States can be depended on to lead with purpose, integrity, and impact.
Today, that trust is unraveling. On January 24, 2025, the United States cut off access to food, medicine, and education for 120 million people around the world. Already, 340,000 lives have been lost—and with them, confidence in American leadership. Our allies are questioning our commitment. Our adversaries are stepping into the void. Rebuilding that trust will take more than words. It will require tangible results.
The Alliance for American Leadership exists to make that happen. We bring together professionals who understand how diplomacy, development, and private-sector innovation can align to secure a safer, more prosperous world. Additionally, we support congressional candidates and incumbents who share this vision.
This is not a Democratic or Republican effort—It’s an American one. We are organizing a cross-partisan coalition around a single, urgent idea when the U.S. leads with intention and action, the world is safer—and so are we.

Description
The Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL) is a bipartisan PAC pushing for strategic U.S. investments that save lives and strengthen global alliances. We believe that effective international assistance bolsters national security, counters adversaries including China, and boosts the U.S. economy. We are currently seeking passionate and highly organized volunteers to support our on-the-ground outreach, legislative, and voter engagement efforts. As a bipartisan PAC, we endorse candidates and recruit volunteers from both parties as well as independents.
Responsibilities
Volunteers will meet with members of Congress and their staff, assist with on-the-ground efforts within a congressional district, and help recruit a team of additional volunteers and committee members. They will support teams conducting door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, and text banking efforts. Volunteers will also collaborate with senior staff on legislative strategy, messaging, and finance; help train new volunteers to build a culture of enthusiasm and accountability; and serve as public representatives of the PAC at local political party events and community meetings.
Qualifications
Candidates should demonstrate enthusiasm for political organizing and community engagement, with strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. Preferred qualifications include previous volunteer or internship experience on a campaign, in Congress, or in advocacy, as well as familiarity with tools such as VAN, PDI, or Mobilize.
This is a volunteer, fully remote position, with optional in-person opportunities in Washington, DC.
