Role Description: This full-time, on-site Working Construction Superintendent role requires ground-up experience. We are seeking an experienced Ground-Up Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our team and oversee the successful execution of commercial construction projects from site development through project completion. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and hands-on experience managing all phases of ground-up construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all phases of ground-up commercial construction, including sitework, foundations, structural systems, building envelope, interior finishes, and project closeout.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project stakeholders to ensure work progresses according to schedule.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, look-ahead schedules, and daily work plans.
- Manage jobsite safety and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Conduct quality control inspections and ensure work meets plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and communicate project updates to management.
- Identify and resolve field issues while minimizing schedule delays and cost impacts.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, daily reports, RFIs, punch lists, and progress records.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Superintendent managing ground-up commercial construction projects.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing projects from site preparation and foundations through completion.
- Experience with commercial projects such as office buildings, medical facilities, retail centers, industrial buildings, schools, or public works projects preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and coordination of multiple trades.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- Experience with Procore or similar construction management software.
- Experience working with public works or prevailing wage projects is a plus.
