What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Alliance Cloud Services?
A Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping a facility operating, troubleshooting, and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. A Maintenance Technician will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around the facility and grounds in general, along with maintaining appropriate equipment documentation. A steadfast, get the job done, attitude and passion for customer service is required.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance around the facility and grounds such as fixing structural or cosmetic damages (e.g. window, door or siding repair).
- Maintain an orderly and clean tool crib.
- Assist with preventative maintenance measures to ensure critical equipment is tested and in good working order.
- Fix potential safety hazards when identified using proper PPE and following all safety protocols.
- Respond to general repair tickets from ACS staff or our tenants. Update the ticketing system as required.
- Basic carpentry work.
- Painting.
- Demolition and assisting with other projects as assigned.
Qualification and Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Able to operate power and hand tools common in maintenance services and activities.
- Able to drive a forklift, operate a scissor lift, and/or boom lift.

Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to climb and use ladders.
- Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements of fingers, wrists, and hands.
- Must use appropriate PPE for working environment (e.g. gloves, hearing protection, etc.,)
