Facility: Alliance Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center
Location: Irvington, New Jersey
Shift: Full Time, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Salary: $21 - $23 per hour

Job Description:
Alliance Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the smooth and safe operation of our facility. In this role, you will coordinate and manage corrective and preventative maintenance of the grounds and building to ensure the facility is in excellent working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and provide for the completion of corrective and preventative maintenance for the facility’s grounds and building.

• Ensure the building remains in good repair and free from hazards, including those caused by electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems.

• Maintain compliance with Federal, State, and local laws regarding building maintenance.

• Perform preventive and corrective equipment maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.

• Maintain records and reports in line with the policies and procedures of the Maintenance Department.

• Participate in the planning and budgeting for the Maintenance Department.

• Order and requisition supplies with approval from the Director of Maintenance.

• Assist in the development and implementation of a preventive maintenance program.

• Adhere to the facility's fire safety and disaster plans to ensure the safety of all residents.

• Ensure that the highest quality of service is provided to residents and families in a compassionate and caring atmosphere.

• Make oral and written reports to the Director of Maintenance regarding the department’s operation.

• Inspect storage rooms, workrooms, and janitorial closets to ensure upkeep and proper supply control.

• Participate in facility surveys and inspections conducted by government agencies.

• Perform other duties as requested by the Director of Maintenance.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.

• Ability to maintain and care for equipment and supplies.

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise staff harmoniously.

• Ability to inspect and ensure safety and proper performance of equipment in resident rooms or units.

• Must be able to understand written and oral instructions in English.

• Willingness to work as part of a team and seek out new methods to improve maintenance practices.
